Technically, I received an ARC review copy through Edelweiss, but it was a rerelease, and I already had the original version on my shelves, so I read that one instead. I've been a fan of Stephen Graham Jones since I picked up The Only Good Indians several years ago. I'm glad I had an excuse to pick up this novella sooner rather than later as it has been gathering dust on my shelves. If you like books that involve monstrous ghosts, horror from the perspective of children, and generational trauma always lurking around the corner, this one is definitely worth a read. Honestly, it's barely over 100 pages, so even if you're not sure if you'll like it, it's worth reading. My full thoughts can be found in the video itself.
